During this all-levels workshop, you’ll contrast and compare specific exercises from qigong, gentle hatha, and yin yoga that focus on engaging mobility for both spaciousness and strength in your body as a whole.
A key aspect to this is understanding the difference between mobility and flexibility. Increasing flexibility can often cause strain and stress in the muscles and tendons leading to a lack of strength in relation to range of motion. Mobility is aimed at maximizing the space that already exists in your body- specifically the joints- to bring a greater range of movement, ease, and tone with integrity from the inside out.
For Yoga Alliance registered teachers, this course may be taken for 7 hours of continuing education credit.
